Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (new trailer) Why it works and Rings of Power doesn’t.

Here we have the newest trailer for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. The movie hits theaters on March 31st. From everything we’ve seen so far, it looks like a really fun romp of a movie. One that practically begs to be turned into a series for a streaming service. This is the show Amazon should have done instead of Rings of Power. You want a diverse cast running around making glib jokes? D&D is your answer. Why? Because that’s who plays the game. Everyone who plays D&D knows what I’m talking about. You play the game with your friends, so when that is reflected on screen? It makes perfect sense. A diverse group on an adventure and the whole thing is peppered with people making jokes between the action? Yup. That’s about it. Amazon, it’s not too late. Ditch Rings of Power and it’s constant spitting in the face of Tolkien. Every episode of that show is an abomination to the lore and the author. You wanna have diversity and play around with a fantasy show? Take Dungeons and Dragons and have a blast! Go crazy! That is something fans of the genre would enjoy! Better move quick though. Got to think Paramount is having the same idea.
