You want to make these: Fall off the bone tender Asian inspired spareribs.

Tender, juicy, sticky ribs, a little sweet, a little spicy and totally addictive. Serve on their own or with rice.

Prep time: 15-20 minutes

Cooking time: 4 hours

Serves: 4-6


1 rack pork spare ribs

1/2 c ketchup

1/2 c hoisin sauce

1 tbs your favorite chili sauce (or more for more heat)

2 tbs apple cider vinegar

3-4 scallions cut into 2 inch pieces (white and light green part of scallion)

1-2 inch piece fresh ginger peeled and sliced

1 tbs brown sugar

1 tbs honey

kosher salt (for salting ribs)


Pre heat oven to 300 degrees. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil. Lay spare ribs on foil and salt both sides. Add the other ingredients to food processor or blender and blend until smooth. Coat each side of the ribs with half of the sauce, using the reserved sauce to baste while baking. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 2 hours. After they have been in the oven 2 hours uncover, baste with more sauce and return to the oven, uncovered for 2 more hours, baste with more sauce as needed. Enjoy!
