Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is finally here and so are our first thoughts!
The game looks amazing! The world, the facial expressions, Brainiac’s ship, it all looks insane! The facial animations and motion capture are especially out of this world – you could watch a whole movie that looked like this game.
Harley Quinn and Captain Boomerang are the two standout characters hands down! Great animations for those two! Overall the dynamic of all the characters is done pretty well.
The gameplay is a different story. Right away you can tell it’s going to get repetitive. Protect the blank, attack the blank, rinse, and repeat with the occasional boss fight. Each character has little that’s unique about them in terms of their gameplay. Other than different weapons, there is little wiggle room given the one style of combat in the game (guns blazing)
The story is a rough one as well. Killing the Justice League is an interesting idea and a good hook. However, when you dig deeper into what that entails, you will quickly find that it’s a feat to achieve and still have people rooting for the protagonist. Everybody likes Superman, Batman, Flash, etc. Making them, not only the bad guys but bad enough to where you want me to KILL them is damn near impossible.
Our first thoughts about Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League are mixed. It plays alright but it’s going to get repetitive. The characters are solid and the story is…okay. It’s going to be interesting to see if they can pull it off. Who knows what will happen!
