Of the many things we didn’t expect to see in recent weeks was, Kate Bush’s song ‘Running up that hill’ hitting the top ten music charts around the globe. But here we are and it’s fantastic. Millions of people have been introduced to the music of Kate Bush through the Netflix series “Stranger Things”. Again, very cool. Haven’t seen season 4 yet but I’m sure it’ll deliver some serious goodness. Hell, it already turned people onto Kate Bush! So, it’s all good!
I’m one of the lucky people who had a friend loan me the album “Hounds of Love” way back in the day and it is one of those incredibly rare moments when you are simply blown away by what you are listening to. I was instantly hooked. Ran out and bought up every Kate Bush album I could find. It was amazing to me that she didn’t have legions of fans in the US. It looks like she does now and I’m thrilled! Welcome aboard! Kate Bush is like no other. Sonically, musically, lyrically… all of the above. Now go and download everything she’s ever done. You’ll be happy.
