Granted Starship is huge as well, but that’s what make today’s flight so important. This is a legit step towards getting to Mars. Making the human race a multi-planet species. And that means (to be blunt) we, as a species have a much better chance at surviving. And come on, cities on the moon and mars would just be cool as shit! It’s some science fiction stuff, but after today and Starships test? It’s getting way closer!

Here’s what we get with Starship: Bigger rocket. Biggest ever. That means bigger payloads. More material transported to build stuff where you need it. Also? The quick turnaround time for the rockets because they’re reusable. It’s insane to think about how close this craft gets us to really being able to go back to the moon and then Mars. Today’s test of Starship by SpaceX gets us much closer to the stars. It is wild. And to think that it wasn’t some government entity that accomplished this.
