Sunday Jams: Earth Wind and Fire

In 2019 a fun declaration from the City of Los Angeles of Sept. 21 for Earth Wind and Fire Day caught on, and people everywhere now make sure to blast their hit “September” on this day in their honor.

Although this legendary group mixing funk, jazz, pop, R&B and other styles made later Los Angeles their home, they started in Chicago back in 1969.

Since then, they’ve sold more than 90 million albums with six Grammy wins, including a Lifetime Achievement Award. They continue to inspire artists today, and even performed last month with singer Sabrina Carpenter during her Lollapalooza headlining show.

So, in celebration of this unofficial observance, let’s groove today with the feel-good sounds of Earth Wind and Fire on the Jams:

Even if you’re feeling a little blue this Sunday, Earth Wind and Fire is here to help you get your mood up, and “Sing a Song”.
