Can someone please have a heart to heart with James Cameron? Please? The guy is loaded with talent and he seems to be in bit of a creative rut. Take a look at the newest trailer for Avatar: Fire and Ash and I think you’ll agree: We’ve already seen this movie. Sure, there’s visual variations, but damn if this whole thing doesn’t reek of Deja Vu.

Now, I’m not going to get too deep into the storytelling/script writing weeds here. I think that Cameron is finishing up a 3-movie arc with these characters. At least I hope so. While the Avatar movies have visual appeal, you gotta dig a little deeper with the story you decide to bring to the big screen. That’s my 2 cents anyway.
