2025 Election reactions. So, here we are. What next? It’s simple but it’s not easy.

Let’s take a look at some of the reactions to last night’s elections. There’s plenty of ‘hot takes’ and things to reflect upon. It’s certainly not a waste of your time to think about where we as a nation are and how we got here. That’s always a good thing. I thought it would be good to offer up solutions as well. It’s simple, but it’s not easy.

Now, the current state of affairs in the US and where we’re headed has long been the topic of conversation on The Loftus Party podcast. Yes, there’s jokes a plenty, however, there’s also a lot of thought about politics and world events as well. Now, am I shocked at last night’s election results? Sadly, no. This has been coming for a while. The political left will keep going farther left. What else can they do? Socialism is the next logical step for them. So, now we have Zohran as Mayor of NYC. With AOC and Bernie by his side, politically. At least they admit it.

The GOP meanwhile still seems to think that MAGA is some strange anomaly, and they are going about business as usual as if it’s still 1989. That’s a problem. The reason Trump resonated with so many Americans was the idea of getting government out of the way and improving the lives of Americans. Less taxes, more freedom and all that good stuff. If the GOP wants to continue to exist, they are going to actually have to deliver. Across the board they have to make good on promises and seek to improve the quality of lives for Americans. That’s it.

I could go on and on, but it would get incredibly tedious. The decades long war of ideas between left and right in this country has reached its inevitable conclusion. The Left are socialists. Tada! That boogey man that the right talked about for all these years is finally here. Now the GOP and the right have to react and actually do something about it. The smartest thing to do in my opinion is to deport the tens of millions of illegals with all haste. That is job one. Next? Voter ID laws and paper ballots. After that? Get Elon Musk and DOGE fired up and drastically reduce the cost and size of Government. Socialist need voters and they need money. Take away both. That’s where the GOP should start.

Here’s more reaction to last night’s eye opener for many.

This outcome didn’t suprise me. The only shot I thought the GOP had was New Jersey. I put up a Charlie Kirk quote, which I used on the livestream when we were talking about student loans, which he posted the week before his death about the GOP needing to show that they can make life more affordable for these college age kids or risk losing a generation of voters. Well, I got my head handed to me and then some. People are missing the whole point. If this isn’t rectified, young people will be and are looking at socialism as a viable option. It’s being sold to them in a nice glossy package on campuses and social media without knowing the misery it entails.
If the GOP doesn’t pass some sort of National Voter ID law as well as paper ballots, which should have happened on Day 1,I’ll know they aren’t willing to go the distance with President Trump to save our country. There will be be hell to pay. More slashing of government waste should be the top priority right now.
As far as NYC is concerned, all I have to say is pull up Christopher Hitchen’s Batbarians At The Gates speech on Youtube. No more prophetic words have been uttered. Thank you for letting me vent and for your great article. You do an amazing job.

Thank you for posting that! The Christopher Hitchens thing is great. I agree with ya! Let’s hope the GOP is listening. Let’s get louder.

The problem Republicans face, and this is going back for decades, is they will only come out to vote every 4 years for president, and nothing in between. They seem to think the president is everything, and he can tell states and cities and school boards what to do. Pr that those races don’t matter, just the presidency. I temember having this discussion back in the 80s with a coworker at the time.

Very good point! I would guess that part of that is because the GOP isn’t making change. All they seem to do is slow down the left for a bit. The GOP needs to aggressively sell the wonderful things they can get going!
