This is some great news. The Trump administration just changed the world of affordable cars and trucks. Long story short: The Biden admin had this thing, Corporate Average Fuel Economy or CAFE. Critics said these regulations were a backdoor EV mandate. You just make old school vehicles too expensive. A truck like the Toyota Hilux Champ wasn’t even allowed to be sold in the states. And the price? 13K.
Enter Trump, and he said ‘no mas’ to CAFE and now we have some super affordable vehicles on the horizon. Ready for a new Toyota Hilux Truck? It starts at 13 to 14 thousand bucks. Yes, the dealerships will play games with the final price but come on! That’s price tag is a great start. And there’s more new affordable cars out there. Just waiting to come over.
This is why I love capitalism. Competition. Let’s see how American car makers respond. Bring back affordability and low prices!
Put me down for Toyota Hilux Champ. 13K. I’m good with that.
I am LOVING this!! We should absolutely have more products available to the consumer. The Helix is a fine truck, esp. for $13k. I didn’t know there was actually a BAN on these vehicles. I hope this does influence more efficient assembly and car prices can come down. We shall see, my fingers are crossed. 🙂
