Was I legit excited for this trailer? You bet. Here’s the One Piece: Season 2 trailer from Netflix. Take a look for yourself. Now, when I say that season one was my favorite surprise Netflix show? I’m not lying. I was completely blindsided by how much I enjoyed it.

Yes the manga and anime series are wildly popular. I never watched any of it. I knew nothing about the show other than it was a pirate adventure show. The only reason I talked myself into watching on Netflix was so I could review it for the website. That being said. I loved it. No spoilers here, but there’s an optimism about this show that is just fantastic. Is it silly? Sure. Is it also warm and heartfelt? Yup. It’s infectious in all the best ways. Also? So far, not woke and not even close. It’s an adventure show that thankfully isn’t ruined with any political agenda. Whew. Hopefully it stays that way.
