The Batman is in production right now, so it’s understandable that the look of the film—including color correction and color grading—might not be final. That’s probably why a lot of what’s in this teaser trailer is hard to see. But the tone of the movie appears to be pretty clear: dark—as in darker than the Nolan trilogy and possibly even the Burton movies. (Of course, it’s always possible the trailer is not providing an accurate portrayal of the final film.)

On a side note, the title of the movie also seems to answer the question: The Batman or just Batman?
