Back in 1984 (okay, really late 1983), Apple premiered a famous commercial boasting that its forthcoming Macintosh computer would break molds and free people from conformity—how it would be like someone smashing the control of Big Brother from George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four. Flash forward to 2021 and Apple has turned into Big Brother by way of crushing those that do not conform to the ruling communist ideology of the day.
