Let’s talk about the new Army of the Dead movie. More importantly let’s talk about about this trailer and what we can tell about the flick just from the preview. I got two words for ya: Predictable fun.
Dave Bautista stars in this Dirty Dozen–Suicide Squad-gang-of-misfits-goes-on-an-impossible-mission movie. We’ve all seen it a million times. But there’s a twist: This time it’s zombies. Okay, fine. Aha! But there’s another twist! (The old double twist!) This time the zombies are fast…and smart! Now you have my attention.

Could we please set this in Vegas? So the zombies are dressed in zany outfits? It’d help with the funny factor and audiences love the funny factor, especially with creative zombie deaths. Done and done. Wacky, fast, smart zombies in Vegas it is!
We have no problems with ANY of this. We aren’t reinventing the wheel. We are having a good time. Let other brainiacs make art movies, we got Drax from Guardians of the Galaxy and a team of zombie-killing misfits killing the undead in Vegas, bitch! Let’s go!

The use of “The Gambler” in this trailer reminds me of something else: the producers of “Joker” missed an opportunity to use Napoleon XIV’s “They’re Coming to Take Me Away” for their trailer.
