The big cheese of the Empire State just stepped down. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo just tapped out and the we have thoughts.

We haven’t heard the last of this guy. Cuomo is a political animal and I would almost guarantee you he’s stepping down on the advice of some political think tank that specializes in saving careers. Or some high-powered crisis management team. We’ll say it again: we haven’t heard the last of Cuomo. He’ll make another run at office at some point. Right now, he seems bent on calling this a politically motivated attack. That legit sounds like a dude that has designs on returning to the spotlight.

Stepping down gives him a “break” from the hot seat. Time to regroup. Now I’d also like to remind everyone that he is presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. Right now? It’s all allegations. Let’s give the man his day in court.

Here’s the big one though: WHAT ABOUT THE NURSING HOME DEATHS?! Hopefully someone is still gathering information and evidence about that giant scandal! Good lord! Can we still investigate THAT?! Please? That seems like it also merits looking into. It’s very strange that the sexual harassment scandal moved soooooo fast and thousands of dead people are still just kinda forgotten about.
