Add Robin the Boy Wonder to the list of woke comic book characters. In DC Comics latest issue of Batman: Urban Legends, Robin decides to go on a date with another dude. Okay. Fine. Whatever. So Tim Drake (THAT Robin. Not Dick Grayson, if you’re keeping track) is gonna be bi. Just add it to the list.

It’s actually getting boring at this point. Captain America wants open borders. Robin is bisexual. There’s also a version of Captain America that’s gay. Frankly I’m not impressed.
Will Tim Drake’s sexuality affect how he fights crime? I kinda doubt it. Will DC readers be enthralled with Robin’s dating life? I doubt it. Unless Tim’s boyfriend ends up being a villain and Robin has to beat him up. At that point, does Robin get in trouble for domestic abuse? Just wondering. That’s about as interesting as that storyline is gonna get. Yawn.
So, DC gets their headline. The PR department has done their job. “Make Robin bi and you’ll get so much press!” Tada! Guess it worked. Blah. Predictable and boring.
How about THIS for an idea: Robin is straight and a villain desperately wants to bang him! Robin has to defend himself from the unwanted advances of a super-woke, hyper-sexualized villain with one thing on his mind: making Robin see the world his way!
Wait…I think that’s the story from the entire entertainment industry now. See the world the way we want you to see it…or else. It’s the story most Americans are actually living.
