We’re getting there. We’re slowly but surely getting to the point where we can have rational discussions about the possibility of aliens. It’s about time. I cannot tell you how refreshing this video of Elon Musk talking about aliens is.

One of today’s brilliant minds being very candid and straightforward about the possibilities of extraterrestrial life. No goofy giggles. No tongue in cheek bullshit. Just an evaluation of data, numbers and odds. I dig it. Because no matter your personal thoughts on the subject, we’d be idiots if we didn’t entertain the notion of not being alone in the universe. I’m pretty sure Native Americans were certain they were alone too. Just saying.
The other huge take away from this clip is the complete upside if humans becoming an interplanetary species. Elon Musk’s ambition to get us to Mars should be celebrated. Yes, it’s dangerous, but being on more than one planet increases our chances for survival exponentially. We have to go. We’d be idiots if we didn’t. Let’s just hope we don’t meet up with any aliens just yet. We’re far from being ready.
