Come on. How good is this? We are on board 100%! The new trailer for The Matrix Resurrections looks incredible. The effects, the story, all of it. And the filmmakers seem to have addressed a big problem with the original. Neo being over-powered.

Now don’t get me wrong. The original Matrix is about as close to a “perfect” movie as you can get. It is hall of fame levels of brilliance. The only fly in the ointment is Neo flying away triumphantly at the end. It’s a great moment! But it implies “Superman” levels of power. And that’s the big problem for Superman writers. The dude is overpowered. Hard to write a compelling villain that can actually challenge him.
So here we go with The Matrix Resurrections. Looks like they may make that minor adjustment. Needless to say, we’re stoked!
The only other minor beef that I think we all have is: Where is Laurence Fishbourne and Hugo Weaving?
Other than that? We’re all in for The Matrix Resurrections in theaters and on HBO Max 12.22.21.
