Do you like Lord of the Rings? Do you like Game of Thrones? Do you like Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild? Well, if so, then Elden Ring is the game for you! It’s all that and more.
Elden Ring is the latest video game from FromSoftware and let me tell you, it packs a punch. FromSoftware teamed up with George R.R. Martin to make one of the most, if not the most, beautiful and challenging video games to date.
FromSoftware is known for making breathtaking games set in strange, ususally dark, universes. They have had a huge succsess with games like the Dark Souls series, Bloodborne, and Sekiro.
Elden Ring combines all the best bits and pieces from their previous games, gives you a magic horse, and sets you in a massive Dark Fantasy style world. The land is filled with monsters, dragons, kings, castles, dungeons, friends, foes, etc. And it is not easy. The game is incredibly difficult if you go in unprepared. However, if you play your cards right, analyze the enemy, prepare for the fight by upgrading weapons and crafting items, nothing can stop you.
The game is very reminiscent of Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in the sense that they don’t necessarily tell you exactly where to go. The world is your oyster. You are tasked with getting the shards of the Elden Ring that have been are in the hands of tough cookies. The game tells you this and basically only this, it is up to you how you want to go about getting the all the fragments of the Elden Ring. Each playthrough is unique, that is if you can make it through one… I have been playing for around 15-20 hours and am nowhere near close to the halfway point let alone the finish line! The world is filled to the bring with secrets that can be uncovered that you’ll feel like you have to find everything just because it is all so cool!
This is definitely biggest game FromSoftware has ever made, and it is hands down the best one. If you have the time to spare, want to dive into the fantasy realm, and feel up to the challenge, then I highly encourage you to check out this game! It is worth every penny!
If I had to rate this game, it would be 10 / 10, they aren’t messing around.
I will also add on that their other games like the ones I mentioned before are 100% worth a peek as well, those are all 10/10’s that have changed video gaming forever.
Last side-note and then I will let you do your thing: The game is only 40gb large! In a time where every single game somehow takes up all of the space on your console or computer for absolutely no reason other than people don’t know how to optimize their game, the size of Elden Ring is really a treat. They must’ve used some magic or something to be able to fit 50-plus hours of content into a teeny tiny game!
