This is amusing and disturbing at the same time. Amazon just got caught going into damage control mode over their new “Rings of Power” series. Let’s just say the trailer isn’t testing well. The actual fans of Tolkien’s work (myself included) are less than thrilled from what we’ve seen in the trailer. Long story short: It looks awful. I’ll leave it at that. These same fans have let their opinions be known in the comment section of Amazon’s YouTube channel. The trailer has been flooded with people letting their opinion be known. Tens of thousands. The trailer has been firmly ratioed. That’s the amusing part. Here’s where it get’s disturbing.
Amazon is having someone go throught the comment section and systematatically deleting the comments they don’t like. They didn’t close the comments. They are just going through and cherry picking. Leaving the good and removing the bad. To give the average viewer the impression of a false reality. “Hey look! Most people love this! You should too!” That’s fucked up. That’s propagana level shit. Now here’s the big finish: Do you think Amazon or big tech has ever done something like this before? Push a false reality? Of course they have. Now… if they do this for TV show, I wonder what they would do for something ‘really’ important. makes ya wonder. Have a great day!

Ain’t that the truth. That quote gets more legit with each passing day.
