Nothing. It means nothing. Short article, right? Allow me to explain. For the past few months, we’ve seen Elizabeth Warren all over the media talking about how people like Elon Musk aren’t paying their fair share. And how Elon Musk didn’t do that alone. And Elon Musk needs to pay more taxes. Etc. Etc. Etc. Okay. for the sake of argument let’s say Liz gets her way and suddenly Elon Musk pays more taxes. What then? How does that change your life as an American Taxpayer? It doesn’t. Do you think your taxes will be reduced? For real. Will the Government let everyone pay less cause Elon is picking up the tab? Hell no. Nothing changes. Nothing. Except now Liz Warren and the Government would have a little more money to spend. That’s it.

I think Sen. Warren wants to make us all angry about Elon’s wealth. We’re supposed to be mad about it. She thinks we’ll all hear her sage words of wisdom and rise up to demand he pays more taxes! For the sake of fairness! That’s where she runs into trouble. Once she starts talking about fairness my spidey senses start tingling. The Government does a horrible job at ‘Fair.’ Is it fair that almost half the country pays no federal income tax? Nope. Not even close. But when it comes to Elon? I think we’re getting a good deal. He employs hundreds of thousands of people. Makes products that people seem to love and he very well may save the human race by making us a multi-planetary species. I feel like I’m getting a solid value out of Elon. And I haven’t given the guy a dime! Winning!

So, if I have to choose between who I should be angry with in this scenario? I’m gonna go with Liz Warren. You’re the problem honey. You spend too much. Way too much. Now you want me to be mad at Elon Musk? Nope. That won’t be happening. He’s going to get us to Mars. What are you gonna do Liz? Nothing. You’re just gonna keep wasting money and try to convince me it’s someone else’s fault. You suck. Elon Musk is doing just fine. Stop interrupting him. He’s working on important shit.
