God of War: Ragnarök is INSANE (No Spoilers)

God of War: Ragnarök is absolutely stunning. Everyone take notes, this is how you do a sequel.

After the events of the 2016 game of the year award winner “God of War” we meet up with Kratos and Atreus again and set off on a journey to stop the prophesied “doomsday” event called Ragnarok from happening. That is all I am going to say in terms of the story. It is a thrilling story!

The gameplay is better than 2016 God of War, I know, I bet your thinking, “that’s impossible!”. Well I am here to tell you that the developers over at Santa Monica Studios have done the impossible. I say it’s better because of the polish. Everything you do, every swing of that axe, every punch, all of it just has a real weight to it. They have taken God of War’s amazing combat, gave it a polish, a shine, and sent it on its way. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it, and trust me… it ain’t broke.

The visuals are stunning. Even on a year one playstation 4 the visuals will just take your breath away. I don’t know if its possible to get better looking graphics than this! But hey, I said that back when they released God of War just a couple years ago and they have proven me wrong yet again. Just as they did with the combat, it wasn’t broke so they didn’t fix it. WHat they did do is enhance it, they gave it a nice polish and sent it on its way.

Overall, if you’re new to the franchise, new to gaming, or if you’ve been around the virtual gaming block, then I think you’ll love this game. It’s got everything a game should have and more, and some would say that’s subjective but I for one disagree. A good game is objective, and God of War: Ragnarök is objectively a good game. This is going to give Elden Ring a run for its money for game of the year.
