The new trailer for The Super Mario movie just came out. It looks great. And by it looks great we mean the actual look of the movie. They have this animation thing down. This looks 100% like you’d want a Super Mario movie to look. Now let’s get to the problem. The sound. And by the sound we mean Chris Pratt. Yeah… his Mario leaves a bit to be desired. We’ll say it nicely. Now, we are big Chris Pratt fans! Dude is fantastic! He isn’t infallible though. He can’t save every project that comes down the pike. Sure, having his name on the poster is a huge plus for most projects. Doesn’t feel like Mario needs that extra marquee push though. They could’ve hire almost anyone as long as they sounded like Mario. Chris doesn’t. That’s a problem. Maybe audiences will let it slide. They probably will. As for me?
