Well, well, well, the Elon Musk Twitter files continue to be quite the eyeopener. We use eyeopener because it a bit less striking than phrases like ‘fucking dystopian horseshit’. We’re up to Twitter Files part 6. Part 6! These are giant dumps of communications from Twitter employees that Musk gives to journalists, and they sift through them, organize the threads and make them public to folks on the internet. So far, we’ve had fun stuff like ‘how can we find a reason to ban Trump?” and “How can we justify killing the Biden Laptop story from the New York Post”. There’s also been “Hi! This is the FBI! Here’s what Twitter should do!” and “Banning accounts and info on Covid-19!” Now get yet another terrifying Twitter File that includes a list of all the ‘fun’ government agencies that were lending a hand to Twitter to decide who and what to censor! What information the public could see on the social media platform. Here’s just a couple! Twitter’s contact with federal agencies did not stop with just the FBI. Several agencies, including the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), and the DHS, had frequent contact with Twitter about the content posted on its platform.
What in the actual fuck!? This is outrageous! We’ve had our share of fun making fun of the FBI and other agencies like DHS and their ministry of truth, but this is insane. This is some bullshit that needs to be investigated and people need to go to jail. At the same time? Let’s rip the FBI into bits and completely start over. And we haven’t forgotten about you either, Facebook, Google and YouTube. We need 100% transparency as to how your little algorithms work. We have zero trust in you as well. Zero. Thankfully someone in DC agrees. Let’s cheer on anyone who is calling for action about unelected government agencies and their treasonous ways. And the same goes for those going after Big Tech. This is the most outrageous scandal of our lives.
