The Cars first three songs on Sunday Jams

We’re showing some love to The Cars this Sunday for a lot of good reasons. If you want to talk about innovative and original groups, you have to include these dudes in the conversation. Their sound was like nothing else in 1978. It wasn’t punk, it wasn’t pop, it wasn’t rock. What in the hell was it? It was fantastic and it was The Cars. So many great things going one with their music. Their debut album plays like a greatest hits collection. Here’s the first three tracks from The Cars. This blows me away to this day. These are the first three tracks of the debut album from The Cars for Sunday Jams. Just home run after home run. It’s insane and we love it.

  1. I was 19 when this album came out! So many memories, good and bad.

I hear ya. I’m always shocked at how music can transport you back to such specific times. It really is like magic. Not a lot of other things do it like music does. Hope the memories were mostly good! Thanks for sharing ya wonderful wacko!
