Report: Chinese Spy Cranes at U.S. ports. WTF?

According to a recent report in the Wall Street Journal, we now have to be concerned about Chinese Spy cranes operating at U.S. shipping ports. Yes, you read that correctly. Spy cranes. We’ll walk you through it and everything will make sense. It’s actually brilliant in its simplicity, if true. So, National Security and Pentagon officials are concerned these cranes (which are high-tech. This goes way beyond simply lifting containers and setting them down) contain sophisticated sensors that can register and track the provenance and destination of containers, prompting concern among officials and lawmakers that China could track U.S. military operations around the world. Tada! That’s the long and the short of it. We’ll provide a link to more in depth coverage here. This is the part where we tip our caps to the Chinese. They make the cranes. Get paid for the cranes and thier use AND they get the info on what goods are going where. That’s like getting paid to spy. And it’s really solid intelligence! It’s brilliant. Now beyond that, this is some bullshit that needs to end. Here’s a wild idea: Let’s make cranes here! In America! That’s a novel approach. We could make a bunch of things right here in our own country. I bet we could do that with everything! Imagine the jobs. The manufacturing plants! My goodness. We could be self sufficient and everyone would thrive. AND we’d be safer as a nation! We’d need a name for this kindof thing. Hmmm… how about ‘America First’? Yeah? No? Feels like it’s been used. You get the idea though.
