Zero excitement over here for Secret Invasion from Disney Marvel. Just a mild sense of intrigue, with the only question being: How will they fuck up yet another great character? Disney Marvel seems hellbent on systematically destroying everything they get their hands hand. Next up? Nick Fury. To be honest, a lot of the damage to that once cool character was done in the Captain Marvel movie when we found out the insanely lame backstory to the eyepatch. Yeah… kitty cat scratched him. He wasn’t doing anything noble or selfless. Wasn’t saving a life. No gunfight or space battle. It was a kitty cat! Awwwww… so cute. So funny… so fucking lame. Now Disney Marvel with finish the job with ‘Secret Invasion’. Hope we’re wrong, but if you look at the track record of EVERYTHING Marvel on Disney, it’s lights out. So long, Nick. Hope Sam Jackson got a pile of money though. Dude is worth every penny. The sure to disappoint Secret Invasion comes out on Disney Plus June 21.
