No, sorry… actual jury duty was never nor will ever be great, but you’ll love the new show semi-reality show called Jury Duty that recently released on Freevee (a free streaming app from Amazon).
Jury Duty is about a man named Ronald who answers a Craigslist ad asking for paid volunteers take part in jury duty and be filmed for a documentary. The catch? Everyone except for him is an actor. The case is fake and the judge, jurors, witnesses, police officers, everyone else is an actor.

I LOVED this show. This was one of the most fun and refreshing shows I’ve watched in a long time. Not only was it a great premise, but they had a ton of funny characters with twists and quirks, and it was fun to watch Ronald navigate the surrounding craziness. One of the best bits was how the well-known actor, James Marsden, played himself as an a-hole, self-obsessed celebrity. That often-used bit, for me, never gets old.
All 8 episodes are great, especially the last one where they take you behind the scenes and reveal the setup to the unsuspecting Ronald. Don’t sleep on that episode! And Do not miss Jury Duty! It’s totally free, and it’s a perfect quick and easy watch.
Enjoy!
