After years and years of Adam Schiff going all over the airwaves and telling anyone who would listen that he had seen evidence of Trump colluding with Russia, (Claims that were total fabrications evidently) the GOP lead House moved to censure and fine Mr. Schiff yesterday. The vote failed in part due to 20 republicans siding with the Dems. Let’s just say, that was a bit of a shock. Mr. Schiff had been apparently lying about a very serious matter for years. Years. And now that the GOP is in the majority, 20 members were just going to let that slide? To quote Alexander Hamilton “What in the actual fuck?” Well, lets just say Mr. Schiff might not be getting off so easy.
Some, Republican like Thomas Massie argue that the part of the resolution that included a 16-million-dollar fine was unconstitutional. That makes sense. At least to me. Congress just doling out random amount of monetary fines seems a bit absurd. We agree. So, if the plan is to take that part out and vote again to hold Schiff accountable, we’re cool with that.
I don’t know much, but I di know what Schiff did was reprehensible. And you can’t just let it slide. It’s not water under the bridge. Being censured by Congress is a not even a slap on the wrist, but it’s better than nothing. So, listen up GOP, take out the fine and vote again asap. Very publicly. Maximum publicity over the censure of Schiff. Let’s hear about that as often as Schiff went on TV with his stories of evidence of Russian collusion with the Donald.
