CMT cancels Jason Aldean song. Because it might give criminals the sads. (video)

This should surprise just about nobody, but CMT (which used to stand for country music television) just pulled the new Jason Aldean song ‘Try that in a small town’ from rotation. They won’t play the song on CMT. So, what the issue? Well, in the song Jason Aldean takes issue with the rampant crime in big cities. You know, murder, looting, carjacking etc. And what Mr Aldean reminds his listeners of is this kind of senseless violence would not be acceptable behavior in a small town. People in a smaller community know one another and would protect each other. And it’s that juxtaposition that is a bridge too far for CMT. Nope. They want none of that ‘caring about your fellow human being business. They won’t be supporting that thank you very much.

Here’s a link to more info on the insane decision of CMT to pull the song. Critics took issue with several lyrics wherein Aldean calls out criminals and rioters directly. Hilarious! What if their feelings were hurt? Huh?! Maybe thing about how the criminals feel next time Mr Aldean with your song about how crime is bad and shouldn’t be tolerated. Here’s the video for ‘Try that in a small town.’
