You know, us Gen Xers were really a musical kaleidoscope. We liked old school rock ‘n roll, really old school rockabilly, punk, funk, jazz, new wave and pretty much everything in between.
And, we loved The Smiths. You can say what you want about Morrissey and his weird mix of politics, but when The Smiths popped out of Manchester in 1982, the changed the face of new wave.
