Howdy. I felt compelled to chime on last night’s GOP debate. Debate number 2. Which I have (very cleverly) called shit. Now shit may be a strong word, but the joke was right there, so I went for it. The reason the evening was so crappy was smell of desperation that permeated the whole thing. You could tell that every candidate was told by their people that they needed a ‘breakout’ moment. Unfortunately, they all seemed to assume that moment would come from attacking and talking over everyone else on stage. Oof. Wrong. And when Chris Christie ‘went after’ Donald Trump with a ‘zinger’ it just got worse.

Here’s a few thoughts about the overall state of affairs when it comes to the GOP and Presidential race. The nomination is going to Trump. Like it or not. That’s how this is going down. The GOP would be wise to reconcile themselves with this and begin moving forward. I’m sure that everyone on stage last night is a fine person. And once upon a time, maybe each one would have a chance at actually getting the nomination. But it’s now. The landscape has changed. Trumps election in 2016 changed everything. Everything!

The masks have been dropped. A huge segment of America now knows so much more about what’s really going on. Things that were conspiracies a few years ago are stone cold facts now. The mainstream media will do anything to get ‘their’ candidate elected. The Trump Russia Collusion Hoax along with a myriad of other ‘Fake News’. To make matters worse, the people of ‘Permanent Washington’ are eager to help get ‘Their’ Candidate elected. 51 members of the intelligence community who signed off on the Biden Laptop having all the earmarks of ‘Russian Disinformation’. And let’s not forget those same intelligence communities were more than eager to jump on board the ‘Trump Russia Collusion’ bandwagon. And just when you thought it couldn’t get more devious, the Dept. of Justice is indicting Trump in an unprecedented move.

So, a large part of permanent Washington and the mainstream media appear to be doing everything they can to keep Trump out of the White House. Why? America was thriving during the Trump presidency. By every metric, things were going swimmingly. We even had peace in the middle east! So, the nagging question is: Why? Why are these powerful forces all aligned against Trump? Just ponder that one for a bit. It’s disconcerting to say the least.

That’s why last night’s debate was shit. In light of everything that has transpired since 2016 there was an element of the candidates siding with permanent Washington and the media. Real or imagined, it feels that way. IF you believe Trump was being framed by the deep state and media, how can you go on TV and talk shit about him? That the great disconnect no candidate can get over. The American people know that instinctively. IF Permanent Washington is really doing all the shit they appear to be doing? We got a bigger problem that the import tax rate on moose knuckles from China. Our Republic, our way of life is in serious danger. And by not rallying for a solution and throwing Donald Duck BS grenades from the cheap seats with everyone else on stage? It looks like you’re part of the problem.
