Little confession from yours truly. I really thought Robyn Hood was a meme. When I saw still photos, I thought someone had taken pics from an old hip hop video and pretended it was promo for new TV show called Robyn Hood. The premise of the ‘joke’ seemed kind of funny. Then, this morning I discovered that Robyn Hood was an actual show! What the what? I had to know more. Then I saw a review from The Critical Drinker and had to know his thoughts on Robyn Hood. He didn’t disappoint.

Now for some thoughts of my very own. After seeing the promo and having a bit of understanding about the premise of Robyn Hood? There is definitely a show there. It’s a solid idea! The Robin Hood story is classic, and audiences always seem ready for a remake or ‘re-telling’. So, where did Robyn Hood go wrong? They set it in modern day. Nope. That’s an instant fail. Set that shit in the future. Yes, it will cost a bit more for the production, but you’ll actually have a better show and a story that is closer to the original. All of the clunky bs music and fighting with bows and arrows could make sense if it was set in some dystopian future. (Hunger Games anyone?) But alas, I’m not on the Robyn Hood payroll. It is what it is. Let’s sit back and enjoy the dumpster fire review of Robyn Hood from The Critical Drinker.
