Are we already here? Have we almost come full circle with these movies? Here’s the trailer for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. Looks good! Not gonna lie. We’ll watch it. The question now is: What’s the next movie? Is it back to square one? An astronaut crash lands on future earth where apes rule and then starts a human revolution? If that’s the case, that movie would be few years away. You just reboot the reboot. Then it’s time for the origin story of the apes getting their freedom and going to war with the humans, reboot. Here’s what I’m getting at: You could have a perpetual Planet of the Apes reboot on your hands. It would never end! Eventually you’d amass sooo much footage, you would only need close ups of your new cast. Time Saver and money saver! Not certain if that’s the plan here, but it could work. You’re welcome Hollywood.
