The Ghostbusters franchise has been problematic at best. After the original mega-hits of Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2. The films just kind of laid around until a failed girl centric reboot in 2016. That movie was less than successful. Audiences just weren’t into it. But when you’re a movie studio looking at a potential cash cow, you don’t give up. Enter: Ghostbusters: Afterlife. A nostalgia infused flick at did pretty well with the fans. Not giant hit. But it didn’t hurt. Afterlife was good enough to merit a follow up. So, here we are, looking at a teaser trailer for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. Here’s hoping it’s good. This is the test. Can these Ghostbusters stand on their own? The nostalgia factor isn’t at play anymore. Everyone knows what’s what. If the franchise can rise from the dead, we’ll soon know.
