Dave the Diver has quickly become a favorite over here at TLP Gaming. We’ve been playing this one on the Nintendo Switch on a regular basis for couple weeks now and we’re still digging it. Big time. Here’s why: Dave the Diver has balance. It’s the right mix of challenge and fun. In a world of first-person shooter, Dave the Diver is a welcome vacation.

For those who haven’t played yet, in Dave the Diver, you play as Dave. Twice a day you go diving for fish. At night, you sell those fish in your Sushi restaurant. That’s the nuts and bolts of it. However, the world builds out from there. You have to manage your staff, your resources, and gear. Better gear means deeper dives and better fish. Better fish means bigger sales. Bigger sales mean better gear, which also helps you discover more interesting things living deep under the ocean. Giant sea creatures? Sure. Underwater civilizations? Of course. Insane food reviewers at your restaurant asking for bizarre dishes? Yup. It’s a great mix of fun and adventure that’s somehow relaxing and exciting at the same time.

We’re giving Dave the Diver the big thumbs up over here at TLP gaming. This is great add to your gaming library. And now with the addition of new DLC content, the game just got bigger. There’s a crossover between Dave the Diver and Dredge. What? A fishing horror game? Sure. Why not. We’ll put the video below so you can check that title out too.
