(It’s a satirical headline but the dude is in world of hurt) California Governor Gavin Newsome has a money problem. A big-time money problem. Billions of dollars for a homeless program that can’t seem to be accounted for. 24 billion dollars. Where did it go? And let’s not leave out the high-speed rail project that now has an estimated cost of 126 billion. Ouch. At least all the other challenges that a state faces are in good shape in Cali. Gavin Newsom has the golden state looking like a regular Shangri La. That’s probably why Newsom was a bit unhappy at a recent press conference. He knows that an “I’m serious” expression is the best way to deal with budget problems and missing billions.
