HBO’s House of the Dragon season 2 kicked off last night and I was another strong episode for the Game of Thrones prequel series. If I’m an exec at HBO, I’m patting myself for hiring people of quality. And by that, I mean the writers. Season one was helmed by Ryan Condal and Miguel Sapochnik and while some might have had issues with the pacing, we’ll say this: AT LEAST THE STORY MADE SENSE! (Yes, I screamed that) Thats where House of the Dragon stands head and shoulders above the competition. The characters are defined and don’t just do whatever the show needs them to do. They have strengths and weaknesses, and they are part of a story that makes sense. Amazon’s Ring of Power is an absolute shit show and waste of time. Don’t even get me started on Disney Star Wars and the commitment to train wrecking the franchise. So, the clear winner of the battle of fantasy shows is HBO’s House of Dragon. Season 2 started strong. Here’s a sneak peek of things to come.
