Okay, let’s get this out of the way. Here’s the trailer for season 2 of Amazons Rings of Power. The woke nighttime soap opera. Notice how I refrained from any reference to JRR or LOTR? That was for a reason. We need to establish separation here. Like Disney Star Wars isn’t Star Wars, Amazon’s Rings of Power isn’t LOTR. This is a corrupted fan fiction. Let’s hope this is the final season. People can claim they love it all they want. Maybe that will be enough to justify the enormous budget, but over here? We won’t be watching past the season opener. I’ll gladly add to the number of viewers on the opening. Let Amazon get all excited, only to see their hopes dashed when everyone leaves the show in subsequent episodes. That’s how you do it. Anyhoo, here’s the trailer for the woke rings show with soap opera vibes. Season 2. I’ll have some thoughts below. Let me know yours.

The big things that jump out? The show still looks like crap. As in the actual look of the show. It looks like a nighttime soap opera. For the money that was spent, that’s as good as they could do in terms of cinematography. WTF? Next up, the show runners have decided (once again) apparently just to make shit up. Not teeny stuff, but giant canon changing crap. It would appear they are implying that Sauron crafted the elvish rings.
