Donald Trump sat down for an interview with Theo Von, and it couldn’t have gone better. Here’s why. Yes, Theo has a huge audience. His podcast ‘This Past Weekend’ has millions of listeners. Millions! That’s part of the reason the interview was good. The people who tune in for Theo’s podcast is a potentially huge new audience for Trump. That’s just smart. But here’s what I really think was the best part of the entire interaction.
The honesty. There is an honesty that breaks through everything in the interview. A big part of that is Theo’s natural ability or rather his state of being. Years ago, I did a tour with Theo in Africa. Every morning, we would meet for breakfast and conversation. It was great. Now when you first meet Theo, you realize that he’s a unique individual. That’s great. Then you quickly realize that he doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. Also, fantastic. He may have a different demeanor but he’s a good dude. And he’s being honest. He is the genuine article. Long story short: Theo is a good person and he’s hilarious. He’s been through some shit and he’s being honest. It was fun to watch Trump have that same realization.
When the conversation turned to addiction, alcohol and cocaine it hit a different level. This was now just two people form very different backgrounds trying to explain and understand something. Theo didn’t put a spin on it and neither did Trump. It was a good honest conversation. In a world that is bombarded daily with assumptions and propaganda it was refreshing to see that honesty is alive and well. We need more of it. Thanks Theo and Trump for a great interview.
Here’s 2 clips. The first is Trump being disarmed by a genuine Theo. Next is the must watch. It’s discussion of the Healthcare industry and Insurance companies and shocking reality for a lot of people.
And make sure to check out this clip, about health care, insurance and medical bills it’ll blow you away.
