Same here. Now, for those you that may be new? Heavy Metal was a Sci-Fi magazine with wild illustrations and plenty of half-naked aliens and some over the top violence and themes. It was in a word: Awesome. Eventually some of the more popular characters made their big screen debut in an animated film “Heavy Metal” that is still considered a cult classic. But the rabbit hole doesn’t stop there. Some, visionary on the internet decided to reimagine Heavy Metal as a film made in the 1940’s. And guess what? It looks incredible. 100% would watch. That seems to be the overwhelming response to these AI generated videos. People are ready for films that look different. That’s the sense I get. Movies need to get back in the habit of looking different. Taking chances. If Hollywood won’t do it? AI will.
