We’ll start with a bit of back story. Kamala Harris was very proud of her involvement in the Afghanistan withdrawal. That withdrawal was disaster for many military families. They had loved ones killed. That’s the nuts and bolts of it, just to jog your memory. Biden and Harris were in charge and there were a lot of service men and women killed. That’s bad enough. However there never seemed to be any introspection on the part of the Biden – Harris administration or the military as to how things in Afghanistan went so wrong. They seemed to want to move on and forget the whole thing.

Moving on from a tragedy is pretty much impossible for the families of the fallen. When you think that someone threw you child away in a meaningless gesture? That would send someone over the edge. Which brings us to recent events. The Gold Star families of the fallen soldiers invited Trump to a ceremony in their honor at Arlington cemetery. Trump went. Kamala Harris chose this moment to be offended. It would appear she was more offended by a ceremony to remember the fallen than she was at the actual tragic events. The very preventable events in Afghanistan. These aren’t good decision-making skills.

If you’re looking at social media, you get the distinct impression that Kamala Harris is more upset by Trump at a ceremony than she is about failing the people who made the ultimate sacrifice. It is monumentally tone-deaf and incredibly stupid. Thankfully the families that invited Trump quickly rushed in to set the record straight after Kamala’s post on X.
