It feels like the tide may be shifting with ‘woke’ entertainment. There are many outlets reporting that Amazon’s Rings of Power has lost about 50% of its viewers. That would be an incredible breath of fresh air, and I’d welcome the news big time. However, I’ll just try to remain cautiously optimistic. We’ve seen Disney Star Wars cancel a second season of The Acolyte. What would be another big win would be if Amazon pulled the plug on another season of Rings of Power. Put an end to every Tolkien fan’s suffering. The Rings of Power is just that awful.
On top of a dismal first season where the viewership disappeared due to horrible storytelling, season 2 of Amazon’s Ring of Power is now treating the remaining viewers to ‘Woke’ Orcs. And the numbers of people watching this trainwreck continues to dwindle. Good. This show deserves to fail. It needs to fail. We don’t want to reward a studio that creates garbage.
