Well, the reaction to Joker: Folie a deux, or as most are calling it, ‘Joker 2’ has not been great. That isn’t a good sign. Have I seen it? No. Not yet. However, there are some critics that I have come to trust, and they are saying things like “shouldn’t have been made” and ‘ruins the original’. Ouch. That’s not a good sign for Joker 2.

Here’s what I know about Joker 2. It was going to get made. The first movie was such a cash cow, they would move heaven and earth to get a sequel. Second, there’s a chance that the filmmakers wanted to correct any perceived missteps from the first Joker. They might be doing commentary with Joker 2 to amend the record. It happens. Think of the last Matrix movie where they decided to dis-assemble the original Matrix.

When I do watch Joker 2, I’ll let ya know. I was my hope that this flick would be another ambitious home run. Looks like that won’t be the case. Unless I love it. Who knows
