It’s coming to Max. The prequel series that feels like it’s really flown under the radar: Dune: Prophecy. The series is set 10,000 years before the events of the Dune movies. Huh… It sure doesn’t look like it to me. But oh well. Fine. I like Dune, so I’ll watch. I’ll give it a try. Honestly, judging from the trailer I have no clue who I’m supposed to be rooting for. That’s fine too. If Max wants to be mysterious about their Dune prequel show? So be it. I like Dune… so, I’ll watch. I am kinda worried though.

My concern is that Dune: Prophecy will be a Science Fiction version of the Game of Thrones prequel on Max. Just an exercise in ‘look at the problems these brave women face’. In a land/galaxy ruled by men, these brave women did something awesome. That’s what the challenge is for Dune: Prophesy in my estimation. We will all find out if Dune: Prophecy is any good when it shows up on Max November 17th.
