Take a look at the trailer for Nautilus. It’s coming to Amazon Prime. Excited? Can’t say I am either. And for more reasons than you’d think! You should probably know that yes, I’m a can of the Jules Verne novel and almost all things remotely steam-punky. Just understand that. If it’s close to 20,000 leagues under the sea or kind of steam punkish… I’m gonna give it a try. Unless it’s Nautilus… Then? I’m out.
Nautilus absolutely oozes woke. It screams woke so loudly; you can hear it from 20,000 leagues under the sea. What in the absolute fuck have they done here? It’s diversity on a submarine! This looks like a class in how to screw up a classic. Just how woke is it? Well, Nautilus was originally meant for Disney plus… and they passed. Ouch. Disney ordered the ten-part series. Then they saw it and said no thanks.
Take a look at the trailer for Nautilus and you too can count all the woke boxes they checked off. It’s astounding. The show hits Amazon Prime on Oct 25th. I may watch a couple episodes just for shits and giggles.
So true! I saw it on my cable guide other day and it’s showing tonight. I was excited until I watched a bit and turned the channel after seeing and hearing more british accents and foreigners in all the roles! I wanted to love Doctor Who too but just can’t. For many years now foreigners will the roles now it seems. Great Britain has been woke for a very long time so no surprise about anything they produce. But, it seems Hollywood uses foreign actors more now too with Canada leading the way, I read sometime ago that foreign actors work cheaper than american actors. Whatever the reason, this Native American floridian is tired of the way things are now. So, I guess I’ll be watching reruns from my past. Good thing I have so many favorites to last me for years!
