Has it really come to this for Jude Law? He’s a fine actor, he didn’t need to do a project like Disney Star Wars ‘Skeleton Crew’. We would have started a Go Fund Me for him NOT to in this show. He was in Gattaca, so he knows what a good script looks like. Now things are so bad that Jude Law is in a Disney Star Wars show like ‘Skeleton Crew’?! Look at the trailer! This is mish mash of garbage in a blender. Maybe he just needs a new agent. Either way, this one is gonna hurt.
Skeleton Crew looks just about as bad as Disney Star Wars can get. It looks… and I want to choose my words carefully… it looks stupid. This show looks absolutely stupid. Here’s a pro tip from a writer: People can only make so many logic leaps before they tap out of your movie/book/show/story. If you go ONE logic leap too far or make ONE logic leap too big, the audience will declare your project stupid and move on. That’s where we landed with Skeleton Crew.
I just don’t buy any of this retro, 80’s Richard Donner meets, Disney Star Wars, meet’s Explorers, meets blah blah blah. You’re off your nut. It’s as if Disney Star Wars threw all this crap on a blender and added some CGI and all they needed was an actor desparate enough to say yes. Disney Star Wars found there man in Jude Law. Thoughts and prayers up for Jude. He deserves better. Disney Star Wars Skeleton Crew starts a streaming on Dec. 3. The checks have probably already arrived for Mr. Law. So, there’s that.
