Here’s the trailer for Secret Level, the new animated anthology series from Amazon Prime. This looks like a winner. And for a lot of reasons. We’ll get into that after the trailer.

Pretty cool, right? A limited 15-episode series based off of some epic video games. And it’s all produced by the guy who did Love, Death + Robots. Oh! And the voice cast is spectacular as well. It’s a list of who’s who in Hollywood. Keanu Reeves, Kevin Hart, Arnold Schwarzenegger etc.

Now we’ll hammer home why Secret Level is a no-brainer for Amazon: They just got 15 pilot episodes. As a studio you gamble a good chunk of money on an anthology series. The producers give you 15 shows. Amazon then tracks which ones do the best and if they want to? They go to series. Or they order a feature. Maybe even find a new franchise. It’s a smart move from a studio that is having… problems… creatively. The One Ring? Yeah. It’s garbage and we all know.

Secret Level gives Amazon to test audience response and writer’s skills with very little downside and all the upside in the universe. Count me in on Secret Level. I really enjoyed Love, Death + Robots and have plenty of faith in Tim Miller. Amazon has disappointed on a massive level but now they have 15 chances to get it right with Secret Level. It starts streaming Dec. 10
