I wanted to do a t’was the week before Christmas edition of TWIM, but golly, it has been such an eventful week with the political circus known as the year-end porkulus continuing resolution CR. They thought Trump was kidding about reforming how government spends. Little did they know that we’re all sick of business as usual and We the People elected Trump to do this.
And of course, they hate it. Republicans are squealing behind closed doors and scummy Democrats are throwing everything against the wall to see what sticks. To hear them tell it, Elon Musk is in charge and he’s trying to make kids die of cancer while giving himself a tax break (note: we’re talking about a spending bill that doesn’t include tax cuts).
But, dear reader, TWIM is supposed to be about the fun and glorious mockery of the self-important, so let’s get to it.
As of this writing, it appears that a reduced spending bill has gone through. And House Democrat leader, Hakeem Jeffries is taking credit for something he fought tooth-and-nail against.
Perhaps no one looked stupider and more deranged than stupid and deranged Representative from Connecticut, Rosa DeLauro who went on a non-sensical rant.
At the intersection of banal and senile.
In other news, Luigi the CEO murderer is still in the news.
It’s also bringing out some of the sickest people.
Trump must have said something about taking the Panama Canal back because memers are going nuts with it.
