While I tend to roll my eyes at the people who want to start things off on a positive note, I find myself doing that very thing as we jump into 2025. I know. Maybe it’s lame, but I’m going to try. Just the start of the year. Just the start of today. I’m going to try to keep things positive.

I’ve already made the mistake of looking at ‘X’ for a bit and took a peek at what was trending. Maybe not the best way to start the year, by checking on what’s going on in the news, but what can you do? One still needs to know what’s happening in the world. Let’s just not let it consume us.

That, in my opinion, is the trick. Finding the balance between righteous anger and good vibes. It doesn’t mean turning a blind eye. It means making sure you’re still finding some happiness and a sense of accomplishment in your life. It’s easy to get out of balance, so watch out.

Never stop looking for that good stuff. Whatever floats your boat. Whatever your thing is, keep pursuing it. Write that book this year. Learn how to paint. Take photographs. Get your ass up and do the thing you said you always wanted to do. There will be plenty of bullshit that needs our attention, but don’t forget about doing that good stuff too.

Let’s go, 2025. Let’s make this year something fucking amazing. The very least we can do is try. Let’s start this thing off on a positive note. So, get yourself some coffee and don’t forget to have some fun. Get excited for some good stuff coming your way.
