Sunday Jams: Big Head Todd and the Monsters

Back in late 80s, I got to see new band out of Colorado give a free outdoor concert at my college. They put on an impressive show, mixed with folk, blues, rock, and an aura all their own. I’ve been a fan ever since.

A few years later, they released my favorite song by them to date:

This year, Big Head Todd and the Monsters are still going strong currently in the midst of their 40th Anniversary Tour, and ticket sales are the best they’ve ever been.

One of their best known hits was in the mid 90s, from their album Sister Sweetly:

They made it to Number 9 on the Mainstream Rock on the charts with “Broken Hearted Savior”.

Their covers are also great, like “Brandy” and “Boom Boom”:

They continuously sell-out Red Rock, perform with the likes of Blues Traveler, Jackson Browne, Alanis Morissette, and Cheap Trick, and the original group is still in tact. So, for this Sunday Jams, cruise through your weekend with Todd Mohr and his hard working ensemble.
